uji is hiring baristas and shift leaders to join our team in downtown Wilmington. We’re looking for people who care about thoughtful hospitality, great drinks, and creating a welcoming space for the community. Experience with matcha is a plus, as is evening availability for special events. Above all, we value curiosity, attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for what we’re building at uji.

Barista

Prepare matcha, tea, and other menu items to uji’s standards while providing thoughtful, welcoming hospitality. Baristas help maintain a clean, organized space, support daily operations, and create a consistent experience for every guest.

Shift Leader

Lead daily shifts while supporting the team and maintaining uji’s standards for quality, service, and presentation. Shift leaders help coordinate workflow, guide and train team members, oversee opening and closing procedures, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Shift Leader applicants must be available to start at 7 AM at least four days per week.
